Driven by expertise and inspired by change, our team has successfully developed and executed academic and professional learning strategies at the state and district level.
Rivet Education’s founders and principal consultants, Annie Morrison and Litsy Witkowski, formed the organization after implementing statewide education reform efforts at the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) under the tutelage of Superintendent John White. During their tenure with the LDOE, Morrison and Witkowski led and/or supported the development and execution of some of the state’s top initiatives such as:
- revamping educator preparation,
- strengthening graduation pathways,
- increasing school and school system accountability,
- increasing access to early childhood education, and most importantly
- scaling the adoption and implementation of HQIM.
Our collective expertise includes:
Developing state education agency strategic plans, support structures, and policies
Scaling the statewide use of high-quality instructional materials and implementation support
Developing and executing strategic communication plans that garner educator buy-in and support
